Christina Ricci revealed that her 8-year-old son, Freddie, still sleeps in her bed — while her 9-month-old daughter, Cleopatra, sleeps in her own crib.
“The fact that I can put her down in her crib and she just goes to sleep when my 8-year-old still sleeps with me is amazing,” Ricci, 42, told People in an interview published on Monday.
The “Yellowjackets” actress explained that she attempted to sleep-train Freddie — whom she shares with ex James Heerdegen — when he was younger, but she didn’t feel comfortable letting him cry it out.
“He screamed himself hoarse and started banging his head against the crib railing,” Ricci explained.
Luckily for Ricci and her husband, Mark Hampton, who got married in October, their baby Cleo enjoys her alone time.
“But with Cleo, when we decided to try it and see how she would react to it, she just sort of whined for about seven minutes and then laid down, clutched her little unicorn and went to sleep,” she gushed.
“It was like she was ready and she wanted to do it, and it was right for her.”
The Emmy-nominated actress joins a plethora of other A-Listers who prefer to have their children sleep with them.
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard recently shared the exciting news that their two daughters Lincoln, 9, and Delta, 7, “graduated” from sleeping on a “trifold mattress” on their bedroom floor in July.
“Clueless” star Alicia Silverstone also went viral when she revealed she and her 11-year-old son, Bear, “still sleep together.”
“I don’t really care,” Silverstone, 45, said of possible critics on “The Ellen Fisher Podcast” in July.
