Katie Holmes channels her ‘Dawson’s Creek’ character in a slip dress and T-shirt

Is that you, Joey Potter?

Katie Holmes channeled her “Dawson’s Creek” character Joey Potter in a peak-90s ensemble, including a long black slip dress with lace detailing worn over a basic white T-shirt.

The mom of one, 44, was spotted grabbing dinner with friends at the buzzy New York City celebrity hot spot Carbone on Sunday night in the WB-worthy outfit.

The “Teaching Mrs. Tingle” star kept the throwback trend going strong with a pair of black block mules, a messy bun, small gold hoop earrings and a long, delicate gold necklace.

The laid-back style is something ultimate girl-next-door Joey would have worn on the wildly popular teen TV show, which premiered in 1998 and ran until 2003.

This isn’t Katie’s first time returning to her early aughts fashion roots, although her latest outfit isn’t causing the same controversy as some of her most recent looks.

Holmes caused quite a stir in December after she paired a long, navy satin strapless dress with a pair of baggy bootcut jeans and sneakers for iHeartRadio Z100’s Jingle Ball 2022.

Katie’s stylist Brie Welch defended the viral look to the New York Times and explained they wanted to create “a more youthful feel for Jingle Ball and the atmosphere there.”

“We decided the rich color and subtle bustier effect detailing of the top was elegant and would be fun if paired with jeans,” Welch said.

The “First Daughter” actress has yet to speak about this epic ensemble, but it’s clear her sense of style never goes out of trend.
