Julianne Hough will be the first to admit she wasn’t always the best dressed.
“Over the years, my style has definitely evolved from rhinestones and sequins to, you know, Hollywood red carpet,” the star — who started dancing competitively (and designing her own costumes) at age 9 — told Page Six Style at the 2023 ACE Awards, where she was honored with the Style Ambassador award.
“Fashion was always this kind of a distant thing that I never really understood until a few years ago, and now, it’s at the forefront of how I live my life. It’s an expression of not just who I am, but all the parts of who I am. And I feel like I’m just now getting in a groove with it.”
And while Hough, 34, said she loves to “try different things and take risks” when it comes to her wardrobe in New York, she tends to keep it more classic and casual when at home in Los Angeles, where jeans and beach waves reign supreme. Below, the six style staples she swears by.
