If you love to pump your fists in the air to techno, get ready. Musica nightclub, which was originally scheduled to launch pre-pandemic, will finally open its doors this weekend.
The 25,000-square-foot Hell’s Kitchen space will be the largest club in Manhattan, and is the brainchild of hospitality guru Giuseppe Cipirani and Italian nightlife entrepreneur Tito Pinton.
“I believe New York needs a breath of energy, color, optimism and I hope Musica will get people back to the dance floor, for some good time and eclectic entertainment.” Cipriani, whose family owns a number of Cipriani locations and just opened up the ritzy private Casa Cipriani downtown, tells us.
When asked what makes this club unique, Pinton gave us a nebulous answer, saying it’s “not only a disco, but an international movement in continuous evolution which aims to offer engaging and innovative experiences through an avant-garde artistic proposal.”
In non buzz terms…. a dance club.
Opening night will include performances curated by nightlife queen Susanne Bartsch featuring Nic Fanciulli as DJ.
It’s the second location of the club with the original in Riccione, Italy. The NYC was formerly home to Space Ibiza, which was open from 2014 to 2017.
Mega clubs could be making a comeback in NYC. Richie Romero’s Nebula, which spans 11,000-square-feet over three floors, opened last September. On Tuesday, the place saw lines around the block for a performance by Jason Derulo, who came by after performing in front of an artsy crowd at the Whitney Gala.
